Smart Cities Mediterranean Partnership was founded in May 2014 based on a plan thatwas submitted as a Project/Commitment 4817 to European Innovation Partnership (EIP) and in response to a call for projects/commitments issued by EIPin February 2014.

What is next ?





Strategy



Revise the Strategic Plan.


- Establish the Smart Cities Mediterranean Partnership as a non for profit organization.

- Plan to build the SMART-MED commercial arm which can help cities to plan their future development and projects in line with the EU 2020 Strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.
Projects can be developed for cities utilizing EU funds through related funding instruments
for smart urban growth and sustainable redevelopment.
